Auftragsarbeit für das LATIBUL Köln
Taktiler Geländeplan - Latibul Köln
Zwecks einer inklusiven Theateraufführung für sehbehinderte Menschen auf dem Zirkusgelände des LATIBUL in Köln habe ich zusammen mit dem Architekten Nils Fahrtenbuch einen taktilen Geländeplan entworfen und gebaut, der allen Besucher*innen Orientierung auf dem Gelände ermöglichen soll. Nach Aufmasserstellung, Materialwahl und Designprozess begann der Bau in der Werkstatt vor Ort.
For an inclusive theatre performance for visually impaired individuals on the circus grounds of LATIBUL in Cologne, I collaborated with architect Nils Fahrenbruch to design and construct a tactile site map to provide orientation for all visitors. Construction began in the on-site workshop after creating the measurements, selecting materials, and completing the design process.

Wir haben möglichst viele Materialien aus dem Werkstattbestand wieder- und weiterverwendet, so bestehen zum Beispiel die Zirkuszelte des Plans aus ausrangierter Zeltplane und tragen dazu bei, das Gelände taktil erfahrbar zu machen. Die Kombination aus Funktionalität, Haptik und Nachhaltigkeit war dabei Kern unseres Designs.
We reused and repurposed as many materials as possible from the workshop's inventory for instance, the circus tents on the map are made from discarded tent fabric, contributing to the tactile experience of the site. The combination of functionality, haptics, and sustainability was at the core of our design.

Für die Erstellung des normgerechten taktilen Plans haben wir intensiv mit sehbehinderten Menschen zusammengearbeitet, um eine barrierefreie und intuitive Orientierung zu gewährleisten. Die Druckerei, mit der wir kooperiert haben, ist auf Brailleschrift spezialisiert und hat höchste Präzision in der Umsetzung bewiesen. Es war eine besondere Freude, den Plan im Einsatz zu sehen und durchweg positives Feedback zu erhalten.
For the creation of the standardized tactile map, we worked closely with visually impaired individuals to ensure an accessible and intuitive design. The printing company we collaborated with specializes in Braille and demonstrated exceptional precision in execution. It was a great pleasure to see the map in use and to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback.
